Tournament Info

This site is for Trevor's poker tournament. This is an invite-only home tournament series that consists of monthly tournaments divided into six month seasons. Players accumulate points throughout each season based on how well they do in each tournament and the top eight players in points are invited to the Tournament of Champions (ToC) which is held at the end of the season. In every tournament, there is a $5.00/2500 chip add-on after the first round. The proceeds from the add-ons throughout the season go directly to the fund for the ToC.

The final tourney of each season is a deep stack tournament. Instead of the normal 10k in chips, you will start with 20k in chips. Additionally, the add-in after the first round will be an optional $5 for 5k chips or $10 for 10k chips.

Points Info

Points are gained in the following ways:

• Ten points for each tournament you attend
• One point for each person you outlast
• Two points for each round you outlast
• Two points for each player that you bust out of the tournament
• Ten points for each of two bounties
• 5 points for 4th place
• 10 points for 3rd place
• 20 points for 2nd place
• 30 points for 1st place

At the end of each six month season, there is a Tournament of Champions that is held, usually within the two weeks following the final tournament of the season.

• You can gain entry into this tournament two ways (nine players total).
  • The top eight players in points at the end of the season gain automatic entry on a freeroll.
  • In the event of a tie for 8th place, the tie-breakers will be average points, then highest finish in the season, then total hits for the season. If there is still a tie, both players will gain entry.
  • There will be a shootout held on the day of the ToC (see below) that will allow entry to one additional player.
• The top two spots pay out.
  • First place takes all of the cash. This money is made up of all of the $5.00 add-ons throughout the season
  • Second place gets free buy-ins to the entire following season (up to a $120 value)

Your starting chip stack is weighted based on your point total for the season as well as a few other factors. Essentially, the more points you have in the season, the better your chip stack in the ToC. Here is how the chip stacks are calculated:

• There is a total pool of 150k chips (not including the additional 10k from the shootout)
• We take the total number of points between the top eight players and determine each player's percentage of the total points. We then apply that same percentage to the total chip pool of 150k, round to the nearest 100 and that is your starting chip stack.
• There are bonus chips as follows:
  • Each tournament win gets you an additional 500 chips
  • The player with the most hits in the season gets an additional 500 chips
  • The player with the highest point average gets an additional 500 chips

As mentioned above, there will be a shootout held on the day of the ToC (usually around noon) that will allow entry to the ToC to one additional player. This is a second chance for all of those that did not make the top eight in points. The buy-in is $10 with the entire pot going towards the ToC fund. The winner of this shootout will gain entry to the ToC with the minimum chip stack of 10k. Only two requirements:

• You MUST have played in at least two tournaments in the season to be eligible to enter the shootout.
• There MUST be at least five players for the shootout to take place.
